If your motor "cams" real hard and you run tailpipes vs. dumps.....

Just wondering about the sound quality. I'm putting some rather lopey cams in when I rebuild but, I want to run tailpipes. I plan on longtubes, Magnapacks, and am undecided about what to put between. Will the full exhaust system kill the note??? Will the car next to me at the light still be able to hear and FEEL me???

For those of you above, what setup are you running and do you have any clips???

i actually think my car is louder with tailpipes compared to cars with dumps. dumps tend to muffle the sound and leave it under the car. JMO. i run bbk longtubes, bbk offroad h, mac catback and it cams hard and sounds mean. i wouldn't change any of it if i could.

Having heard both and owning one...I would say that w/ or w/o tailpipes the loudness will be about the same. W/ dumps the note will be a lot deeper. I personally like the deep rumble I get w/ dumps but I still love the way good ol'e mustang tailpipes sound.

Marcus,
you need to quit messing around and put a laptop behind your car and give us some sound clips!!!

PS. 2cammer97's car sounds pretty freaking good w/ tailpipes.

When ra96 first posted his sound clip of his HP cams I could hardly control myself . This summer I plan on doing the Headswap with Cams(when I move out from under mommy and daddy's roof). I am not real sure on where Denton is, but me and a few friends will head to either Dallas or San Antonio to dyno our cars in about a month. I would love to hear 2cammers or ra's if there was some way we could meet up.

I finally got to here my HP blower cams tonight. They sound unreal.I have the Roush side exhaust but Im going to Dumps under the car. They messed with my fuel injector pulse to magnify the lope. The car seriously sounds like a hard camming stroked 5.0.They sounded great by themselves, but when Higgins messed around with the chip they made it sound 10 times better.

I wish i had a way to record it,but I dont. All I can say is these cams will definately make you happy.

Its going on the Dyno tommorrow so hopefully by friday the car will finally be complete.
