Exclamation Surging problems on decel

For the last week my car has had surge on deceleration. It acts like it has a vaccum leak somewhere but I have not found one. It has only been doing this recently, last Sat to be exact. I was playing w/ a riced out civic and after going through 3rd it was over, but I pushed in the clutch and gave him a few hig revs, (about 5500 to 5800 rpms) and when I gassed it the second time it backfired really loud. I didn't notice the problem directly afterwards. It wasn't until the next day it started acting up. but ever since then it has had a surge kinda like when you slow down too much in a gear like unde 1200 rpm in 5th. I was thinking the backfire might have cracked the intake but I have found no signs of this. If anyone has had this problem or has any advice thanx in advance. By the way when it srges my A/F ratio drops to lean extremely lean. It usally runs about 3 bars from totaly lean wile driveng but when it surges the guage reads completely lean.

I had the same problem and after I did new spark plugs and plug wires, it was fixed.

I put new plugs and wires on about 6 mos ago I went w/ motorsport 9mm wires and autolite 764's They are a copper core plug and I know you have to change them sooner, do you think they have already gone bad. I checked them and they looked fine, but I guess I could be wrong. I'll give some new ones a try but I want to know some more opinions first. Thanx.
