Talking New Member 1st post. 1st thing u did to your GT500 ?

Like the title says..just sold my 1970 Mach 1 and am picking up my 2008 Shelby GT500 tomorrow!

Already thinking performance upgrade...

What is the first thing to do on a stock vehicle to upgrade performance?

Don't want to get too crazy however..Intake? exhaust?

If so, which and what parts are recommended from the group?

Thanks in advance..

I did off-road x-pipe, steeda intake & 2.65" pulley.
Ran a lot smoother & half decent power increase.

Springs! Mine looked like a lifted truck prior to my Eibach spring install.

I'm surprised no one did subframe connectors first. Full length subframe connectors are my choice for the first mod, or really any chassis stiffening. Cage, front or rear strut tower brace, etc.

Ive always heard the newer cars don't need subframes like the old fox and sn95 chassis.

It is true s197 are already a stifffer chassis, but with over 600rwhp, I would want all the stiffening I could get.

I've got a K&N Cold Intake System practically NEW! Will fit 2008-2014 GT 500.
I had it on my 2013 GT 500 for 3 days in the garage, then my GT 500 RUSTED UP!!!
Let me know,
PM me. Moe
