MSRP / Xplan / Invoice

While I am no expert at this (I usually keep my cars for a very long time), but can anyone give me rundown on if these new 2013 Shelbys can be bought at MSRS/Xplan/Invoice? I just ran down to my local dealership to pick up a part and inquired on the upcoming pricing. He (salesman) told me that these cars are going to be marked up $10K. I quickly replied..."good luck with that". "I am sure some other dealerships would be more than happy for me to write out a $60K check on the spot if they really wanted my money".

If I have to I will go out of state to a truck dealership and pay the SVT fees to the dealer...I will get the new car close to MSRP

I don't think you can get the A or X plan for shelbys.

I am a Sales Manager for Van Drunen Ford in Homewood, Illinois. Dealers don't have pricing on the 2013 Shelby GT500's yet. Nor have I heard that they will be available on A/X/Z plan.

My opinion is if you can buy one for MSRP. You are getting a great deal.

I bought my 2012 GT500 on X Plan.
However, I highly doubt that you will be able to buy a 2013 GT500 on A/Z/X/D Plans. If you can get one at MSRP, jump on it !!!

Well from my internal website at work it looks like I can get any ford at the x plan rate (I think it was around $4k off the 2012 model Shelby). Just wondering if the dealerships "have to" accept the plan or if they can decline for any reason (by saying for example that the 2013 Shelby is not an eligible vehicle).

This is inaccurate. I would just like to clarify this.

These vehicles are not available on A/X/Z/D for 2012.

Ford Mustang BOSS 302
Ford F150 SVT Raptor
There are a couple more vehicle lines, but mostly Chassis cab trucks and vans.

I do not have the eligibility info on the 2013 Shelby GT500's yet. Also dealerships do not have to honor the A/X/Z/D plan pricing if they don't want too. I can only see in limited production vehicles why a dealer would choose not too honor the A/X/Z/D plan pricing on eligible vehicles. Most people do not know that there are additional costs to being able to sell the Shelby GT500's. Which makes profitability even less on the Shelby GT500 if eligible.

Hi Bruce, I'm assuming that equipment group 820A is a base model option. What comes with the 821A option? Also, is the SVT Trac pack the piece that includes the addtional Oil cooling options for the Trans, and Rear end assy?

Thanks!

Bruce, why are you only getting 2? I was under the understanding that Ford would not be limiting the GT500 this year, but build as many of them as they can sell. Is this info incorrect?

I work for a small family dealership and that could be correct. I can probably get more if needed. I am just locked in for 2. Hopefully I will sell more!!! Let me know if I can help in anyway.
