+1 on the trick flow stage 1 - I have that cam.

I have GT40 iron heads with the trick flow stage 2 spring kit and cobra upper lower on mine and it sounds awesome. I have yet to drive it, (need to bleed brakes) but i can't wait.

I have a Stg1 + 1.72 rockers in my mild 351 and I like it, but in all fairness I haven't tried a custom or i.e. a CC. Budget was a big issue for me, so the $150 or so Stg 1 does me fine. The Comp 270 mentioned should be an excellent cam for your combo, as well of course as one from any of the popular custom grinders.

I think, besides the lift issue, that the duration of the Stg II that you listed might be a tad too much duration for your combo - hurting low end torque and throttle response because of your relatively low static comp ratio.
