Just curious as to why most of all the aftermarket engine management systems out there for 302-351w efi engines all make you convert over to GM electronics and sensors???

Weather is throttle body injection or multi port efi.i dont see why these companies cant just make 100% plug and play.
For example the tps and iac half to be converted over. Pro M seems to be the only one that will make a complete system that you can use all of the ford style sensors. Whats the deal with not using the ford sensors and iac motor?
Anyone else find this frustrating?

No.... but I'm the competition for the companies that don't offer plug and play solutions.

To be fair to our competitors, a number of other ECUs now are able to use Ford IAC valves and temperature sensors. Both Haltech and the Holley HP / Dominator line have this capability. I'm a little surprised there's still aftermarket EFI getting considered that is locked into GM style IACs and temperature sensors.

Electromotive possibly the first aftermarket EFI systems at least at one time would let you use most any sensor even combos of say ford and chevy just pick and choose in their softwear.
