Do I need a wide band?

Basic bolt on and HCI 306. 9al getting tuned with a Quarter Horse and BE. Do I need a wideband?

depends on what you want it for

you can use it to dial in fueling, helps a little

some say, they can react in time to cut throttle from lean condition, I cannot see that, but each to their own.

fancy numbers if you want a gauge.

I had one, for tuning purposes, especially cold starting, too get it rich enough.

and now just keep it ready for my next combo.

You didn't have it permanently mounted or anything? I don't have any after market gauges. Don't really want any. Maybe a Dakota Digital cluster in the future.

my display was my laptop, and I only logged with it

no permanent install, it serves no function now that my tuning is done.

What was your set up for viewing the wideband data on a laptop?

I used a DataQ that used a 0-5v ref from the WB controller
