Question Throttle Blade setting and IAC- 90mm?

2002 GT 2V with new Megasquirt Pro.

I have a Accufab 90mm TB and since I purchased the car the throttle blade has always been fully closed, ie no tension on the screw/spring and it idled fine.

I now have a MS PRO installed and the idle is high at 1300rpm (programmed to 900rpm) and I want to make sure the throttle blade is set correctly before changing idle settings. It actually sticks open a tiny bit for some reason which I plan on looking at today to figure out why.

On such a large TB should the blade be fully closed and just let the IAC control the idle or should it be opened a little? I can see that a larger TB will allow more air in so maybe the TB should be fully closed..?

Accufab won't tell me how to set it instead they want me to send it in and have them adjust it.

I would leave the blades closed and adjust the IAC settings to get a good idle. You may also need to adjust the spark timing.

OK.. That's where it's always been and that's where I have it now and it seems to idle fine now. The cable was pulling on the lever just enough to open the throttle a tad so once I fixed this it idles lower now.

It's still running really rich at idle and I can't figure out what to change to get it leaner so I'll talk with the tuner and see if he want's me to mess with it or if he'll take care of it. It's programmed to be 14.7 but it's running at 11.0 AF's.

Adjust the VE table to get the correct air/fuel ratio.

I did but it didn't make any difference in the AF at all just made it run like crap. I'll just talk to the tuner and see what he wants me to do.

accufab, sets the TB with a flashlight

I suggest you set as far closed as possible without bind.

that will be your starting point

from there spark, then iac is used to get idle to desired idle.......

is this speed density?

Thnx. Before I installed the Megasquirt the engine was tuned with throttle blade fully closed but I'm not sure if this is correct. I suppose if it worked I could set it that way again.
Correct, I'm not using a MAF this time around.

Very Sorry, No MAF. I meant the TB was 90mm Accufab. I'm also getting confused.
