A9L with PMS will not stay in WOT

I have a A9L computer with a PMS series II. Brand new Pro-M mass air meter calibrated to 30lb injectors. Engine is a 347. The car runs great and made good power on the dyno but I am having some sort of electrical issue maybe. At WOT the car runs out great but the ECM jumps out of WOT to PrL 7 and PrL 8. It does this at about 3500 and 5000-6000. This is not right. I am not able to make any reliable tuning adjustments.

Has anybody encountered this before?

Some things I have done:
Set base idle multiple times.
Replaced TPS with OEM Ford product.
Checked all grounds.
Grounded the PMS box to the chasis.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Put your HL table settings the same as your WOT. Have you verified you are getting WOT and idle on the display after you have reset your idle?

I have verified WOT and idle after the base reset.

The problem with moving the WOT table into the HL table is that the computer runs in closed loop under high load. Timing and fuel curves change depending on sensor inputs. In WOT the computer runs in open loop which uses a predetermined timing and fuel maps according to rpm. This is my understanding of how the A9L works.

So with this issue I can not spray due to ever changing timing and fuel.

Could there be a short in my harness? Could it be related to my new Pro-M mass air meter? I have made multiple calls and email attempts to Pro-M, but have not received a response yet. I think I am getting ultra close to getting a stand alone system.

Does your PMS have stand alone? If so and that is turned on it overrides what you are trying to explain with the A9L. Contact Doug at EFI systems he makes the PMS.

We received a single email message from you yesterday at 1:24 PM eastern time. I personally responded at 1:36. There are no voicemail messages.

My direct line is 508-867-6733. Although this is not a MAF problem, I am quite sure I can solve it for you. If I don't answer, you'll need to leave a message.
