What is the best system with throttle body injection?

I know Holley has one but supposed to be good to around 500 hp or so and heard FAST has one that is supposed to be good to 1000 hp (true?), anyone else and if so, what is the best out there for tunability, running on a daily driver, street/strip type car?

I want to have a single or dual plane (have not decided on combination yet) intake without having to drill for injectors. Just make it cleaner looking in the bay and run hard.

Not worried about price, just want the sytem I am looking for.

Thanks,
Ed

If price is not an issue, why not go with Edlebrock, MPI? Throttle body Injection is good, but the way to go is with Multiport, I think they run right around 4K+. That is the way to go, for now I am sticking with my Carb, car runs great and is not a daily driver, but if I was to go fuel injection? Multi Port would be the way to go. Good luck!

Agreed - the best TBI is still a TBI. I have yet to see one with good fuel distribution, although I haven't seen testing on the new FITech ones.

He is asking about the Tbi style like the Holley Dominator, or the Fast XFI. They are multi point, the injectors mount on the intake with fuel rails, I will be using a Super Victor EFI, Fast XFI complete stand alone, the throttle body is the air meter, there is no MAF, the computer runs speed density, the one I am getting is $5000, comes with everything good for 1,000 hp. You can slap a air filter on that's made for 4 barrel, or if boosting, add a blower hat (elbow) throttle body flows 1350 cfm.

Well actually I was wondering about a system that has the injection under the throttle body.

I will check into that Edelbrock MPI setup though. I have not been paying much attention to what is new in the Mustang world the past couple years so playing catch up now. Thanks.

From the examples I've seen, throttle body injection setups that had the injectors firing into the plenum from below the throttle blades have about the worst fuel distribution of any setup I've seen. TBIs that inject fuel above the throttle blades get considerably better distribution, but still generally not as good as port injection.

Yes, I have heard that as well. That seems strange to me as well because it is not much different from where a carb shoots in the fuel. Thanks.

Other than the idle circuit, your typical four barrel carb sends the fuel into the venturis above the throttle blades.

What TBI systems inject the fuel above the throttle body blades?

Alright, that is all old stuff...lol. Was looking for one of the new systems, regardless, thanks for the help here. I appreciate it. Will probably just go FAST or Holley I guess.

The older Holley throttle bodies do this; same with Powerjection and FITech.
