P.i.m.p. vs. Megasquirt plug and play. Why do people pay over 100 more for the megasquirt plug and play when the pimp is the same thing? Am I missing something?

Both use a MicroSquirt Module at their core, but they use different circuit boards. They also have completely different support teams behind them.

There are a couple areas where I know we did things differently with the MSPNP than Stinger did with the PIMP:

1. PIMP systems are built to order; we maintain a stock of MSPNPs ready for immediate shipping.

2. They handle low impedance injectors differently - the PIMP uses a current limiting resistor, while the MSPNP uses a true peak and hold circuit to pop the injectors open with 4 amps and then drop it back to 1 amp to hold it open once the injector has opened.

3. I believe our knock circuit is more sophisticated, although I'm not sure.

4. The current MSPNP was designed around the A/C idle up code in MS2/Extra 3.3.x firmware. I know the PIMP system predates this and I am not sure if they have updated their design to handle this.

How can you get it for this price? I've looked online and can't find it. I'm looking to order one ASAP.
