SCT MAF Adapter 2901

I have a 1989 Mustang GT with 4-pin MAF connector. I bought an SCT BA3000 MAF that has a 6-pin connector. I think the adapter I need is SCT 2901. After researching SCT 2901 on the internet, I see pictures that show a short wiring harness adapter and pictures that show just a plastic adapter without wires.

Question: Does it have a short wiring harness or not?

Thanks,
Dean

Mine had a long harness.. the length of the harness is irrelevant. All you need is to go from 4 to 6 pin..

Personally, I'd forget the adapter because they are known to be problematic, and just solder in the pigtail, cutting off the factory plug and using the new plug on one side..

PMAS

If you use this pigtail, you can even wire in the oem AIT wires to the maf..
(there may be an offset needed in the tune, depending on meter)

The transfer function for the 96+ AIT is different but it's easily added to the tune. here is the one for the 96+ -->http://www.pmas-maf.com/resources/hpxait.xls

Is there a 4-wire pigtail available that I can use to splice into my existing 4-wire MAF harness that will connect to the 6-pin SCT MAF?

Thank you for calling me back today. I ordered the PIG-X connector harness as we discussed. Please make sure it has a long wire pigtail so I can relocate my MAF into the fender area.

Thank you,
Dean Scheidt

Splicing PMAS 6-wire Pigtail into 1989 4-wire MAF Harness

I spliced the PMAS 6-pin MAF wire pigtail (PIG-X) into my car's MAF 4-wire harness. The wire colors for the PMAS pigtail were different than the pictures shown in the earlier posts above. The picture below shows how I ended up splicing the wires and I also added my notes to a MAF wire diagram I found online.
