No red light on SCT chip
So a few months ago I purchased a used Vortech kit out of the classifieds. It came with everything fuel related including a SCT chip. I got everything installed and started the car and found that it wouldn't idle and was running very rich. After a little help from Bob Kurgan I got it to idle but after reading up on the SCT install I think there may be a connection problem. Everything I read said I should see a red light flash on the chip when I turn the ignition on and I am getting no red light at all. The car previously had a autologic chip in it (yes I know it's old) but never had any issues so I assumed the J3 port was cleaned enough. I took it out and did a little more cleaning on the J3 port but still no red light on the chip at all. I plan to take the car down to Kurgan for a tune soon but want to make sure the chip is ok and that I have everything in place for him to tune the car without any extra work. Anybody got any thoughts on this? I assume that all SCT chips will have the red light and I looked to see if I could find the LED on the board but can't even figure out where it would be. Any help would be appreciated!
