no rpms

have taken my 85 lx 4 cyc and transplanted 90 gt 50. gone with efi . chanced all fuel lines and wiring, new fuel filter. went for test drive, cranks and idles fine, rpms go up fine, but when it warms up can't get more than 3000. acts like it's not getting enough fuel. what can be wrong? can fuel lines be hooked up backwards are what. timing is 10 degrees, donor car ran just fine, so i know i have put something in wrong, but don't know what. HELP PLEASE.
