computer options? please help

ok ive got a classic fast in my 98GT (4v swapped turbo car) the car just runns like poop, it has erratic idle and you cant drive it normal, its either you gotta be on it or not ect. it also will randomly cut off if you stop too fast or sitting at a stop light

now here is the question... do i swap the classic fast out for a XFI system, or go back to the stock setup and put a chip in the computer?

anyone have experience with the XFI vs CLASSIC fast? id kind of just like to have ppls thoughts on this

also this is a street car too

put it on the dyno and tuned it, but im not sure if the classic fast is the issue, the a/f ratio doesnt read all the time and from what a few ppl say its a bad setup and nightmare to tune with the modular setup because with the classic fast you have to piggy back it with an EDIS module..

wasnt sure if ppl had experience with the XFI system and like it over the CLASSIC system or if i just need to put the stock setup back in it and throw an SCT chip in it and let it ride

I don't know anything about using it with the edis setup. I tune my friends bbc with n 8-71 blowet and have no problems. It does the job

Are the newer computers better? Sure. Is it what you need? I'm not sure. Sorry

Unless something is mechanically broken, it should be possible to tune it to avoid this. Although not written specifically for FAST, we have some tips on tuning the fuel and spark tables to get a good idle that may help.
