Question Is there a way to get rid of the annoying door chime?

I hate it when I open the door and leave it open. Should I just glue the black knob in or is there a wire of some sort that can be removed or cut. Thanks.

check you haynes manual if you want to know for sure, but otherwise just leave it open and stick your head under the steering wheel and listen to where the siren is. once you find just snip the wires going into it.

Look on the car body between the door hinges-there is a little black spring loaded push-button switch. Just remove it and cut the wires (leave enough to re-install later) and splice the wires together. If this gives you a constant ding, then just leave the wires cut and tape or silicone or heat shrink tube them really good. I'm pretty sure that will work-did on my ranger. If there's more than 2 wires then find the hot wire and either wire them all together or cut'em all and seal them.

You can do it without cutting anything. Just stick your head up under the driver's side and unplug the harness going to the "dinger". My friend did it 15 minutes after I brought it home.
