I think the 75, 25 & 35 fit with the width adapters... I'm still trying to confirm. The models which are 10" in length like the 78 probably don't fit the tray.

Funny how they say this battery fits and yet some people have been breaking their trays to fit the 78 size.

battery tray would be a Red Top Starting Battery Model - 34/78 Part#

I never even knew there were different sizes of them I thought it was just red, yellow(deep cycle), or blue (marine)sizes. I put a red one in my car about 4 years ago with no problems..don't know what size it is though it was the only one that was out at the time.

I had to break my tray.... well worth it, though.

I just bought a 75... the adapter thing that comes with it doesn't work and the hold down has to be shimmed.

Anyone know how long these Optimas need to be charged for first use?

If you bought it new, it should be good to go. Just like getting a new battery at the store.

It was putting out 12.4V... so kind of down on charge.

I can't get my car to start so I'm hoping something else isn't wrong. Engine turns... I need to check fuel pressure too.

Last weekend the car started and ran for under a second and then quit on me. Can't get the car cranked over since.
