Altering buffhomers wiring for battery reloc a bit??

Just wondering if this will work.

Stock setup before battery reloc: Alternator power wire going to fuse box. Wire from fuse box to Positive battery terminal. Wire from positive battery terminal to starter (solenoid).

Buffhomer: Alternator wire (fused) to switch. wire from same side of switch to positive battery terminal. Wire from other side of switch to starter solenoid. Wire from solenoid to fuse box.

Way I'd like to do it: Alternator wire (fused) to switch. wire from same side of switch to positive battery terminal. Wire from other side of switch to fuse box. Wire from fuse box to solenoid.

Anyone see any problem in going to the fuse box first? I'll post some pics in a second so you can see what I'm talking about here.

Thanks for your input
-Dale

BuffHomer altered slightly by another corraler (thanks you two!!)

Way I'd like to do it if its safe:

Let me know if you think this is a good idea? I'm trying to avoid having any additional wiring going to the starter (solenoid on 94-95) since I'm going to be doing longtubes and I'm afraid they'd melt the wire since I have no idea as of yet how to route the wiring down there.

Thanks!
