Secondary air help

1998 mustang 3.8 .. My secondary air pump is not getting a signal to turn on.. I checked it by removing it and it works fine off battery.. So is there a seperate relay for it or is it part of. Pcm or ccrm? Just spent a ton on restoring body and new top but I'm lost when it comes to electrical and there doesn't seem to be any info or schematics out there..
