Question 1990 LX reverse light wiring short

Hello All,

When i put my car into reverse (AOD) the fuse blows for the reverse lights, turns signals, and convertible top. I believe I have a short between the transmission switch and the reverse lights since it only blows when reverse is activated. I have my interior completely apart now and hope to get this taken care of over the long weekend as it needs an inspection soon, does anyone know where the reverse light harness runs on the foxbody? This is my first time doing any interior work with this car and the wiring diagrams online aren't terribly helpful with the physical locations.

Thanks!

short must be at or after switch

C106 at rear of trans
C212 behind LH kick panel beside C203
C203 behind LH Kick panel beside C212
C421 light socket connector

I would take a test light to battery positive

start at the trans switch, unplug it verify the short to ground, bulb lights

then unplug light sockets one at a time, to test after each unplug

move your way back to the trans switch unplugging an checking

be very careful when unplugging you DO not want to move the wires much as you might remove the short

this will isolate the section of wire that is short, the wire in question is BK/PK according to my 92 evtm.

from the trans to the light

Thanks @indy2000! It ended up being one of the reverse bulbs causing the short. I went ahead and replaced both and no more blown fuses. Thanks again!
