Eec ground

My battery is in the back 88 fox.
Should I run a ground from eec to negative on battery. I will check the fusable link, but my car was already wired when I got it and the original pigtail is not on the inner fender.
I think that may be "earthed" with the rest of that part of the loom u see the wheel arch secured by my coil bracket.
I need to lift the car to check again.(there were 3 leads attached to it.
If I track this and it's good should I bother.
Getting some "funky" issues.

no

batt neg goes to the engine block and body

eec ground goes to body

not batt neg

With a trunk battery you need a very good block to chassis ground and a very good battery to chassis ground. It is not necessary to run anything between the block and battery for negative ***as long as the battery is properly grounded to the chassis and the block is properly grounded to the chassis.

As Indy says, the EEC ground ALWAYS goes to the chassis.
