FUEL SYSTEM TROUBLE

i just got a new 15 gallon sumped fuel cell and a t-rex inline pump. it all went on tonight and i put enough gas in it to start it and it leaked right at the pump. well i fixed the leak and tried to start the car. It has been sitting for 3 weeks waiting on the parts so the batt. was dead. i hooked up the jumper cables and all was again well. i tried to start it again and it turned over and over well but wouldn't start. i tried to start it for like 20 minutes. i have checked everything and all seems well. there is no fuel coming out of the return line and i sucked on the line for a minute and didn't even get a hint of gas fumes. what do i need to do to get her running again, i really want to drive again. thanks in advance.

Don't know much about t-rex pumps, but with it hooked to the car, can you "straight wire" it to the battery? MAKE SURE NO LEAKS OR CARS GOES BOOM!! I would guess that the pump would make some noise if its operating properly. Just a guess.
Is there any possibility that its hooked up backwards, both electrical and pump direction? Just stabbing in the dark...

from gygabyte. About Fuel pump........
If you disconnect the pump at the fuel line and no gas pours out then there was no pressure and either of the pump is bad or hooked up wrong. Even after you relieve the fuel pressure some gas should come out when you disconnect it if it's working right. I bought a bad pump a couple of weeks ago, it would sound like it was priming (I could here it just fine)and everything but the car wouldn't start so I had to drop the tank again and put the old one back in and it started right up....... One idea though, If you disconnect the inertia switch to relieve the fuel pressure you did plug it back in, RIGHT???

i bypassed the inertia switch.
