What happens if you leave the "neutral safety" switches open?
I have pulled a 91 5.0 drivetrain out of one chassis and put it in a better chassis.
The T5 came with the "neutral safety switch" hole epoxied shut. But on the old chassis, I had the parallel clutch switch.
In the new chassis, I don't even have that.
Will the car start with that circuit open all the time? Or should I ground the ECU end of the circuit (I'm pretty sure it's Pin 30) to the signal ground point?
Right now the car cranks but it won't fire. I'm about to start testing & replacing ignition parts one by one to track it down (starting with the cheapest stuff).
