AEM wideband stopped working after connecting to sct x4

So I am trying to get a datalog of my mustang's wideband sensor and I spliced into the white and black wire on the wideband sensor and plugged them into the red and black wires on the firewire cable I spliced. When I connected it to the tuner and started the car the wideband stopped working. The gauge starts up, goes through it's startup process, dispays "poo" then switches to "---". The sct showed reading of 10 to 30 (jumping from 12 to 28 when set to read "aem").

With the tuner and wires disconnected the gauge does not show any readings, all it does is go through it's startup process, dispays "poo" then switches to "---".

Did I break my sensor..?

P00 is a code

you need to verify power ground to heater, and sensor signal

you do this when you power it in run, engine off

you can also leave the key in run again engine off, and see what the display reads over 20-30 seconds, it should go lean.

Is there a fuse? protecting the heater circuit?

It was leaning out after it displayed "poo", so I'm pretty positive that the gauge is still working, but it's something with the wires or the sensor.

So this morning the gauge decided to somewhat work, but then it would completely lean out. The gauge would go from being leaned out, drop down to being rich, then immediately lean out again. Later on it was sitting around 14.3, then would randomly jump around 10.2-15.8 regardless of me putting my foot on the gas. So I'm positive it's not providing accurate readings.

Yea, just keep guessing or actually pull your meter out and start measuring

buy a new sensor, and if it does the same?
