Gauge cluster lights out, not the headlight switch ?
I had been blowing the fuse for the gauge cluster lights and thought maybe it was the headlight switch.
After buying a new headlight switch, I went to replace the headlight switch and found the bakelite connector burned at the pin for gauge lights, clock and interior lights. After using a dremel tool to remove the burned pin area, the wiring still looks OK.
The headlight switch is good and all lights work except the gauge cluster lights. After disconnecting the clock, I am still popping fuses. There is a relay box behind the driver back seat that pops the fuse whenever the interior lights go on. Has anyone with a vert had this problem? I've isolated the circuit, but am wondering if the relay is bad? Any ideas? Anyone have a wiring diagram?
