Node light on fuel injector plug

Hey Guys,
I've been having a little problem with a misfire from a stuck open injector on my Mustang (1996 Gt with a 4V swapped from 97 Cobra). I borrowed a buddies fuel injector node kit and sure enough my #1 cylinder injector plug always keeps the light on with no pulsing. From what I have been able to find this either means that there is a bad ground for this wire or there is a problem with my ECU. Does anyone have any advise on testing either of these? Thanks!

NOID light

disconnect the battery neg

unplug the ecm, unplug the injector in question

reconnect the battery

take a test light to battery positive and send power to the inject negative at the harness

if it lights, you have a short to ground, find it

if it doesn't you have a bad driver in the ecm, replace it.

simple.

Is there schematic for which driver controls which injector? Just wondering. Thanks

Hey guys,
So I finally got around to testing it and it is shorted to ground. Sorry if this is a bad question but I'm not entirely sure the best way to trace it without pulling half the harness of the engine. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks again
