What is wrong w/ Windshield wiper switch ?

This thing is insane, if I turn my turn signals on, the windshield wipers stop, half of the delay wiper settings never work.

The switch is junk and they redesigned it for the newer cars. I have replaced mine already it was about $50 from the dealer and held in with two screws. It's a little stiffer to twist and switch also.
Fixed all the wiper problems I had and I haven't bothered replacing that $20 washer pump motor I thought was bad as it works perfect now.

Which newer cars?

Does anyone know when they started using the newer design? I would rather just go pull one from a graveyard, than spend the $50 to get it from ford.

I believe the box said 96+ but don't quote me on it. Apperently you can use any 94+.
How much will you really save? THis part is probably heavily used on any vehicle out there and the $20-$30 doesn't seem worth it to put on a used part unless you're selling soon.
That's just my opinion, happy hunting.
