are my fog lights burnt out or something else?

my fog lgiths have never worked, how do i figure out if they are just burnt out with out paying for a new set of bulbs. the only reason i don't think they're burnt out is because the little light on the switch between the seats doesn't light up when i turn it on.

buy 1 new bulb.

or, put a ammeter into the connector and see if there is current.

my switch doesn't light up either.. but my dash lighting wire is dead somewhere by the switch and convertable harness.

At the risk of pointing out the obvious, remember the headlights (or at least the parking lights) need to be on for the fog lights to work.
If it were me I would look at the fuse, get out the volt meter, and start checking.
If your foglights have ewater in them, or had water water in them they may have blown the fuse, or shorted something out.

As Jrobinson said, the water is a big issue, our stock foglights are crappy, they are mostly cracked and everytime it rains, water gets in there and blows them up. Check them out to make sure they're in good condition before you put the new bulb(s) in. I just took mine out, and it looks ok, and I lost about 20lb! the harness is massive!

you may have a fuse blown in the panel under the hood, It controls the driver seat (power), fog light controls and the cig lighters. its the third up from the front on the right? 30 amp.
