You need to hit the tan wire with the yellow stripe on the ECU.

Refer here if you have any questions:

Good Luck!

Yea I couldn't find that wire either so I ran it out to the negative side of the coil, (now it is hooked up to the Crane box).

The wire is actually orange and white off of pin 48 on the PCM. It later turns to tan and yellow at the instrument cluster harness inside the dash.

-My bad... the wiring diagram I have is wrong. The orange/white is only on 96- newer cars. on the 94-95 you have to hit the tan/yellow in the dash.

If you pull the harness off the coil and look inside, they are marked "+" and "-". Loop the end of the green shift light wire over the male part of the connector on the "-" side and push the connector back down. I've run this way for about 5 years and it works great.

I am planning on putting one of the Auto Meter Slim style shift lights in my car.
I was wondering what input you guys had on installing shift lights...
How to's
Pics of yours
Install tips

I'm planning on going into my coil or MSD box..any thoughts (Neg Wire)
I like the Slim Shift Light from Auto Meter because it isn't so big and flashy, I plan on mounting it on my steering wheel console.

I was also thinking of other places like behind the A/C Vents.

Thanks guys

Look at this link, it will tell you exactly how to do it.

I think that the steering column is probably the best place for it unless you want to cut your instrument cluster bezel and install it above the gauges.

Eades, you can see my Auto Meter Shift Lite on the steering column in one of the roll bar pics I sent you. I have a close up if you need it.
