How to clean electrical connector ?

May have found out why my fan is not operating. The connector to it looks like it had some contamination and water/coolant has gotten in there. It is very corroded looking. How do I clean this the best? Will brake parts cleaner work?

Thanks in advance..

I would use brake cleaner, and then slab some electrical grease on it.

Just becareful of the pressure of the cleaner. I would think it would be enough to remove the wire completely or loosen it up enough to the point that it may eventually lose contact.

i try a wire brush small one, or sand paper, you just need to remove corrosion, then after doing this i would put some dielectic grease on it

I fiddled with some sand paper, folding it and such to fit it in there and sanded the contacts. Afterwords got some rubbing alchohol on a q-tip and cleaned them well. I then put some dialectic grease on there and connected everything back up. Fan works! I guess it was just the corrosion. Whew...good thing I don't need a new fan, those things are expensive...hehe.

Thanks again .
