Question Fuse Pops When Clutch & Brake Pedal Pushed In

Here's the problem: For some reason anytime I push the clutch and brake pedal at the same time the fuze for the brake lights/turn signals blows. If either is pushed independently it's all good. I tried disconnecting all the electrical inputs to the clutch and still had the same results. Disconnected the stop lamp switch and it no longer blows the fuze. I am guessing that it's the stop lamp switch that's faulty. It is just puzzling that it only blows when both pedals are used. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
