Power lock issue 1987 GT
Well this has been an ongoing issue, one that I never figured out (obviously! Mind you, not too much effort went into fixing it).
My car(1987 Mustang GT) has power locks, and they work fine. The problem is, the driver side unlock switch does not work. I can lock the doors from the driver side, but to unlock from inside the car I have to lean over to the passenger side. The passenger side switch works perfectly, both unlock and lock.
Now, I when I installed my speakers in the car a few years ago, I took the switch out and tested it. The test indicated that the unlock part of the switch was OK (it completed a circuit), so I guess the issue must be somewhere else, past the switch.
Anybody have any suggestions? I will go check the wiring diagrams again but perhaps someone has encountered this issue before and can share their thoughts. Again, quite a liveable issue to deal with (been 3 years since I last looked at it lol) but it seems I have a lot of free time these days, might as well do something productive.
