Neutral safety switch 91 fox 5.0

Is there any ways to bypass the neutral safety switch. Car won't start with key. Starts if jumping off silonoid. Want to bypass just to rule out if that's why its not starting. Already put new silonoid and ignition switch.

Manual or automatic?

For manual, jump the R/LB wire at the clutch interrupt switch.

For auto, jump the W/PK and R/LB wire in the transmission range selector.

Also check the starter relay in the battery junction box.

It's an auto that used to be a 5speed. When I bought the car the aod was going out. So I dropped it got it rebuilt shift kit and 2600 rpm stall and ever since I put it back in it won't start with the key. I have one short plug coming out the car but it is way too short to reach to the neutral safety switch and even if it would reach the plug doesn't match the switch. I cut the plug off and tied all 4 wires together car will start with the key now but the starter won't disengage. Should there be a wire coming from the neutral safety switch that plugs into the plug coming from the car. That's the only thing I can figure is I just unplugged the wires and left half on the neutral saftey switch and when I got the tranny back there was nothing plugged into the switch. I thank u for any help this has been going on for about 2 weeks and I'm lost this is the first auto mustang I've ever had

I gave you the wire colors for the 92 Mustang automatic transmission. Per the wiring diagrams there are only TWO wires in the neutral safety switch (W/PK and R/LB). So perhaps the fact that 4 wires were tied together may be where the constant power is coming from.

I have complete wiring diagrams from 92 through 96. I do not have 91. If interested in getting a copy for yourself I maybe able to help. PM if interested.

The other two wires are coming in from the reverse lights if I remember right. Also if you have these wires crossed it will be giving you the 12v. I have a thread on here somewhere that may help with a lot of good info. I fought the same problem lol.
