AirBag light flashing

I just started hiding wire's in my engine bay (on the passanger side) by running them through the fender wall. Everything really cleaned up & I didn't cut any wire's, just unpluged them & relocated them behind the fender & plugged them back in from under the car. Well, now I have a flashing air bag light. Upon first start up, it will flash 5 time's, pause then flash 2 more. I took it up to Autozone to see what code it's throwing, but anything dealing with the air bag's, is a dealer only fix. Anyone ever have this happen? I would really like to find a fix, before I let the Ford dealer rape me on labor charge's. Thank's, Jake

Why is that a dealer only fix?

Have you disconnected the battery for a while to reset the computer?

Good point (it's early)! When I unplugged all the wire harnesses & repluged them back together, I left the battery connected. I'm sure the comp. saw that, & that's why the code is popping up. I'll disconnect the battery today & let it sit for awhile. Thank's for the wake-up, I feel better knowing that's most likely the problem.

You have a code 52 (Flash 5 times, pause then two times) from unplugging the battery, letting it sit WILL not cure it. You have to jump the wire under the glove box, let stangplus2birds explain it to you, I'm sure he'll be in here any minute now.

Steeda90GT got it right.

YAWN!! It's 2am in the Northeast and I have to go to work tomorrow. I *try* to do a quick check every day for Air Bag and ABS questions.
