Gas Gauge Not Working?

Need Help/Advice Please. A while back when I first started my 1991 GT Junkyard build, I replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, and sending unit with all new stuff. This project is off an on and I'll be honest I can't remember if it worked before I replaced the parts.

However, it has not since I've installed the new stuff. Today, I dropped the tank unplugged the sending unit and plugged in the old one hoping it would work. No Go. What next? Could it be the guage? I checked my connection and the wire appears to be in good shape. Or could I have two bad sending units? The new one is from Mustangs Unlimited and I'm sure it was made in China. The stock one appeared to have been original.

Any ideas? This is really frustrating. Thanks in advance.
