anyone relocated the engine compartment fuse box ? (Moved from 94/95 Tech)

I was ondering if anyone has moved the underhood fuse box into the driver's side fenderwell? I going to need to do this to free up some space under the hood. How much of a PITA is it, any cutting of wires required? I could use some advise or a how to. Thanks

Yes you will need to cut and splice and weld and all sorts of fun stuff. If you arent proficiant at the above mentioned, you may want to think twice about it.

Yes.....its not that hard, though slightly time consuming. If i remember right, you have to trace all the lines that leave that fuse box, unplug them, and then re-route them once you've moved the box. My mounting location was right were the horn sat. I think i inverted the fuse box and used the mounting hole from the horn to bolt it down. I dont think i needed to extend any wires for the fuse box, but i did extend wires when i relocated the horn. The horn is much easier to move then making a whole new location for the fuse box. Alluminum stock hammered into L-shapes are your friends when it comes to making brackets.

I am wanting to put my breather canister and MSD box there. I putting a TT setup on and space is very limited under the hood. I found a how to thread no writeup but plenty of pics. I only had to extend a couple of hot leads.

I am working on this now, and would like to know how you will change a fuse if one blows? I guess it shouldn't happen too often, but if it did! I am looking to face mine toward the engine bay where the windshield washer fluid tank used to be... The only thing is that I wouldn't want water running down between the hood and the frame and straight into the fusebox. Any opinions on that?

Look just above my MSD box .....that was my aproach to the dilema. It works for me, hidden yet assessable and simple to boot.
