Fox Electrical

Greetings. Have a 1993 Fox Convertible. While stopped at a redlight today, the car suddenly died. Was not able to crank or have any electrical accessories work. Luckily I was able to push the car out of traffic. After sitting for a few minutes, I was able to start the car. I did notice something peculiar this morning before the car died. Turn signals would not work with the engine running but would work with the engine off key on. Any ideas where to start looking as I dont wish to be caught off guard. Thanks in advance.

Just went outside to the car. The following DO NOT work with the engine running. Turn signals, HVAC and convertible top. They do work with engine off key on. Ugh! any ideas?

Take the plasctic surround off of the column. There will be a connector on the bottom of the column with 10 wires or so that is long and slim. Make sure that there is no play in that connector. It is a connector that rides upon each other ever time you start the car. I had to zip tie mine until i could order a new one from Late model Restro. If the car has tilt wheel try moving the wheel up and down and see if you gain turn signals.
