Fuel pump relay problem...

1993 mustang original 5.0 car. Car has a 255lph Walbro fuel pump. Just recently I went to start the car....and the fuel pump ( that usually turns on for a second) well the pump stayed on the whole time the key was in the on position. I try to start the engine..and it just turns over..doesn't fire. I replace the fuel pump relay and it fires right up. Normal fuel pump kicks on for a second everything is fine.

I drive the car a few times...2-4. And the same thing happens again. Go to start it and the fuel pump stays on and car wont start...but turns over.

I'm getting another fuel pump relay tomorrow.

I noticed my gas level both times this happened has been real low, around an 1/8th tank to a little less. Could my fuel pump be getting too hot and eating up my relay?

Any thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate. Thank you.

I've had this problem & it ended up being the fuel pump relay that was bad. Replaced it & it works great with no issues!
