Digital 6 plus problems

Hello corral,Im having problems with my digital 6. I had a 6al-2 and the car ran perfect, put the digital 6 on and the car breaks up at 4500 -5500 rpm. I sent the box back to MSD and got a new one and have the same problem.Everything is set right on the box no start retard,no 2step, set on proper setting for 8cylinder.Have anyone had this problem with their digital 6 ? Thanks in advance.

I called MSD today, they told me on a factory ford distributor ignition that the green loop doesn't get cut. The factory distributor doesnt use a magnetic pickup, it uses a hall effect pickup so the green loop doesnt get cut.

the instructions from msd (which are vague regarding this green loop) says that if using an msd billet distributor that the green loop gets cut.

^^^ yea cut it if you're using a factory ford distributor with a magnetic pickup (like on old duraspark ford ignitions), TFI doesn't use a magnetic pickup in the distributor, the pickup is a hall effect sensor. so the green loop doesn't get cut.
