Wink Raptor shift light install question

I just finished installing the raptor shift light on my 2K GT. I followed the instructions and looked over the links provided on raptor performance's website. The shift light works perfect and looks awesome. My only question is I did not see anyone use and in-line 12v fuse like it was recommended by raptor performance. How did you guys install yours? What amp fuse do I use? I tapped into the 12v red wires on the plug next to the computer. Thanks for any help.
