MAF ? Confused.

I picked up a PMAS MAF adapter calibrated for 60's for a 88-95 5.0. It came with the extension for 88-95 5.0. I'm guessing to convert it to OBD2. I removed the extension on the adapter and i has six pins. It plugs straight into my connecting harness now on my 96Gt. My question is can i use this now its plug straight in, Also it has no MAF housing. should i just make my own using 3" tubing?
