Exclamation Speedometer, radio, and side mirrors not functioning

I was messing around with the wires on the back of my stock radio and I accidentally pulled out this one purplish wire that I think had an in-line fuse. I also touched a couple of the bare wires. Like a dummy I didn't take the time to disconnect the battery.

Anyway my dome light, radio, side mirrors have no power now. I checked all the fuses (except those three square black boxes-don't know what those are) and everything seems ok. But the weird thing is my speedometer is not working either. The tach, and fuel, water, etc. work. I can't find where that purplish wire went. It's somewhere in the dash I guess.

I don't know if / how all of these problems are related and if the speedo thing is some weird coincidence

Anyone have any ideas?? This is bugging the crap out of me.

Thanks for any help. For some reason I think I see big dollar signs if I take it to an auto electric place.

Did you also check the fuses in the engine bay...behind the battery and driver side shock?

What else did you pull? You might have to pull the bezel and see if you unhooked the speedometer....

Just some suggestions...

It definitely blew a fuse under the dash. I can't remember the number but same thing happened to me. It causes both radio and the speedo to not work. Vaguely remember it being location #18.

Thanks. I didn't realize we had fuse(s) under our dash. I thought everything was in the black power dist. block. I didn't think anyone would have experienced this same problem. I'll check it out.

Thanks again.

** BTW, Fakesnake, did you have a problem with your dome light and side mirrors too? Maybe you didn't have the problem long enough to notice if you did. ...just curious.
