Just got my fuel cell today, and I'm mocking up my install. The way I have planned it, the cell mounts with the bottom of the cell flush with the trunk floor, the sump sits about 6" down into the spare tire well. This leaves all of the spare tire well open to add my water pump for my air to water intercooler in the future. Did I overlook a potential vehicle center of gravity issue with the tank sitting in the trunk? It's an aluminum cell, 13gal, it's only 9" tall.
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to mount it where I originally planned to. The fuel level/top of tank is just below the top of the tires, vents are actually above. If it caused an issue down the road, I'll just have to go to plan B.
This is how my I/C and trans cooler tanks are mounted in the rear of my car. Not an issue getting the car to run a number.
