Are 9's possible???

Here is my current setup

-stock block 302
-Windsor jr heads
-systemax intake
-TFS stage 1
-b&g turbo kit 70mm turbo
-c4 trans brake 3600 stall
-hoosier qtp

-my best ET was Friday DA was around 2000ft 85 degrees. here is a break down of the time slip

-1.623 60ft
-4.437 330ft
6.778 1/8th mile
105.33 mph
8.79 1000ft
10.499 1/4 mile
132.06 mph

I know my 60ft is terrible. Ive tried every launch possible. any boost launch off the brake and the tires spin bad! the best 60ft was launching on zero boost and rolling into the throttle. My best mph was 133.50.

NA Stock Bottom End, TFS Heads, AFM N-51, Systemax...331whp 336wtq SAE 11.89 @114.5mph R.I.P
New Combo 347 11.1, AFR 205, Custom SR Cam, TFS Box R, 90mm TB. 3350# Race Weight. 11.04 @125mph

Hereís a formula that is easy and accurate. Use it to determine the ET you should have based on your MPH. MPH is a function of the weight of the vehicle and the HP you have to drive that weight over a distance. Nothing else matters. Bad fuel pump? HP then MPH will drop accordingly.
1320 / MPH = Optimum ET

1320/133.50 (your best MPH) = 9.88 ET
1320/132.06 = 9.99 ET

Donít even open the hood. You have the HP for a 9 in that car. Itís what is behind the engine that is underperforming. Poor convertor, poor suspension or both.
You can even beat the formula if you really have a dialed in car. The bottom line is, use this to find your true potential. If you ran a 10.10 on that 132.06, I would accept that. But you are loosing .400-.500+ on anything but the engine.

The converter seems to work great. The car is pretty nose heavy (iron heads, turbo, intercooler, stock k member battery ect) The car is sitting pretty low right now the rear springs have had two coils cut off. I have a pair of stock springs I'm going to try. see if that improves the 60ft. When the car was NA and a 5speed it cut a best of 1.51 60ft.

Whats ur front suspension? The more i learn about suspension and hooking the front set up is key. I am building a bbf foxbody and going with 14 inch coilovers and 175lbs springs. People say this combo shifts weight very well to the rear.

Failed to mention this best applies to a race car. If it is street / strip, there are compromises to street or strip. Very few cars would claim to be a master of both at the same time!

But I do hope this motivates you!
