TT 2V on a diet

I have put my car on an aggressive diet. Here I made room for the 417 Motorsports front tubular section.



I am also going to a manual rack and manual brakes.


You can see the new flaming river manual rack. I'm also ditching almost all of the factory wiring.

The new shortblock will be using the same cobra crank I ran last year. It is going in a fresh teksid block. The new custom 11:1 Racetec pistons are gonna be hanging a new set of Molnar Turbo rods. I will be using the same 38cc TF heads and a new custom set of cams that NA SVT spec'd. Here is the slightly modified RR intake I'm gonna run. I got rid of the Logan.

This car will always have a 2v in it. I have a 2016 Mustang 5.0 also.

What was the delivery time on the 417 kit?

80 coupe, N/A 347, tko500 1.34, 6.30 @ 109.01, 9.87 @ 137.06

16 GT, daily driver on pump 93, Procharger 1.42, 6.31 @ 109.59, 9.80 @ 141.57

Pulled the dash out. It weighed 50lbs without the cluster. I removed all the factory wiring. Then I cut the passenger side metal frame from it. It now weighs 23lbs.
I also got a light weight steering column and wheel that weigh about 6lbs. The stock column and wheel was 15lbs.

The new pistons. They are 3.557 and -11cc to make 11:1c/r with my TF 38cc heads.

more clamping force I'm guessing? What did your plate mounting plate look like, how did it attach, and did you just tee off the brake line to the second caliper?

No tensioner? I tried to run my belt like that at one point when I decided to get rid of powedsteering. I ended up throwing the pump and rack back on because it was eating belts or slipping them.

The belt is pretty tight. The vacuum pump has adjustment.

Vacuum pump pulley is a bit larger than the idler I was attempting to use as well. Looks good!

I got rid of my Leash boost controller. It was great, but i'm gonna let the Holley dominator control boost now. I'm gonna run an onboard air compressor with a one gallon tank.

This all new wiring for every thing. I stripped all of the factory wiring from the car. I didnt buy any custom harnesses.
Everything on the drivers side has nice sheathing on it. Had to order some more for the passenger side stuff. Power windows, turn signals and everything else works from the toggle switches. Makes for a bunch of wires. Started out with just this stuff.

Since I went to manual brakes the stock switch wont work. So I have added this micro switch to make them work. I know most guys just use a inline pressure switch.
