If you ask 10,000 people with different set ups you will get 10,000 answers.
For example, my car would never move off the line if I left anywhere near at the stall. It would either shake apart or smoke the tires.
My converter stall is 6500, and I never have been able to leave at more than 5400 on any track with any tire. Sometime I have to leave at 3500 depending on track and tires.
When it was a stick, I had to leave at 6000 and let the clutch slip on some tires and tracks, and on other tires or tracks at 3500.
