Stick? Auto? If auto, stall of converter? Gears? Tires? ect ect. As SRTthis798 said...So many factors go into this.

I leave at 2,500 rpm and the converter flashes to 6,200 rpm. That works for me and my combo. Probably not going to work for you Lol.

Usually either 500 below or above your stall on auto. You'll have to get it close and go up or down till the 60' falls off to truly find the sweet spot. My converter stalls at 5300. I launch my M2 C4 @ 5600rpm when running n/a & 3800rpm on spray.

Typically between 5000 and 5500. The technique of getting there seems to be important for me as well (launching while holding the rpms versus launching while reving)

If you ask 10,000 people with different set ups you will get 10,000 answers.

For example, my car would never move off the line if I left anywhere near at the stall. It would either shake apart or smoke the tires.

My converter stall is 6500, and I never have been able to leave at more than 5400 on any track with any tire. Sometime I have to leave at 3500 depending on track and tires.

When it was a stick, I had to leave at 6000 and let the clutch slip on some tires and tracks, and on other tires or tracks at 3500.

agreed on the 1000 people giving a 1000 answers...
but, what the heck...
little 306 with stock heads and solid cam, 2.95 1st gear, 4.56 rear gear, 26" tire... street car 3270 race weight.
I hold 5500-6500 (track conditions dependent) and before I dump the clutch I shove it to the floor... so, some where north of that.
To be honest, I was still figuring things out...
