Flange on 8.8 rear replace?

We need to get a new drive shaft made for our 86gt drag car it now has a g-force trans and the drive shaft needs to be longer should we lose the flange set up and just go with a reg forged yoke on the rear?

Just switch it all to 1350 joints with a saddle type pinion flange.

There are flat forged pinion flanges as strong as any U-bolt saddle flange.

I went with a forged dual pattern from a local driveline shop that accepts either the stock Mustang size joint or the truck size joint. It is a real nice heavy duty piece.

Ford makes one for trucks PN DL3Z-4851-A but it is large pattern only.

The mark williams yoke comes set up to have a driveshaft sensor installed if you want to measure driveshaft RPM.
