Going from 17" to 15" wheel question

Going from a 17x9 with a 275/40/17 and 3.73 gear to a 15x8 with a 255/60/15 and 4.10.....(if that's the tire I go with, looks best to me with the Fox sheet metal)

Calculators show just a touch more gear, around the 3.90 range.

That said, can I expect the car to drive fairly similar to my old setup do you think?

Just curious.

I'd run a 275/50

I know I can, and that's still on the table as I haven't bought tires yet. And I still might go that route.

Its just that the 26" tire looks small to me, and the 27" just has a better look to it.

Don't know what to do, lol.

I would like to spend some time at the track with the car, but its mostly just a weekend street toy.

Oh yeah. Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S Tires 3452 - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

They're essentially 1" narrower and 1" taller than a 275/50/15. so weight is the same, too. They fill the wheel well up really nice.
