2828 glidden
225 highports by BES
cam will be a solid roller from bullet.. sam vincent... ed curtis... (no idea yet)
nitrous outlet stinger plate with roughly a 300 shot in it (kinda depends how much it makes on motor)
13:1 compression

converter will be a billet deal from Pats
UPR front and rear suspension
afco rear shocks
mini tubed

I'm going to stick with my guesses. We have a class around here limited to stock block. Sam Vincent done a racers combo and has proven you can go low low 5s at like 3100lb with a stock block and single plate.

goal is to have the chassis done and wired up this year... motor next year. i still need a crank and have roche order the pistons. then the short block is done. heads and valve train are done other than cam and push rods. still need intake carb and nitrous plate.

Well I suppose if you detonate the crap out of it, then yup. But you probably know more about a Nitrous tune up than most of us here, so that should not be an issue.

yea we will see what that stock block will take for sure.

already planning on doing a half fill on it so that will help. also keeping the stroke down to keep the side loading on the block down. then a light rod and piston combo should help a bit also.

2.20 1st on a 275 radial ..... what rear gear? That might be a challenge on a marginal track. I'm sure 5.30-5.40's shouldn't be a problem on a clean pass.

No doubt it can be done on a good track. People run crazy numbers every weekend somewhere. If you throw a bunch of power to it around 200-300 ft and keep it planted it will run out the back. You know from racing with Bob must of them guys run a 1.48-1.56 gear and only race big events or on rented tracks.

You would have to pull timing just to launch that on motor at my track unless you rented the track for the day. They don't prep around here unless the track is rented.

I'm going to say 5.50's initially, then with fine tuning..maybe 30's if all the stars aligned..on a perfect track. We've built similar stock block 408-418's & that's about the best they'd do. In hindsight..we should've ran aluminum rods & the lightest piston that would've held that amt of power( 800whp +\-) and let it turn more rpm. Stock block is always the fuse in the equation though! The nitrous convertor + tune up makes for a lazy N/A performance..I'm going to guess 6.20/10.00 on just motor. Since You have access to better chassis guys & more knowledge than us..hopefully yours goes faster it's definitely in the WHOLE COMBINATION..and who tunes/sets it up
