tire size verses rpm?

now its best pass is [email protected] turning 6,500 with a 28x13.5 et street going across the line. I ran across a nail at the track this weekend and so I ordered new tires but I did a 29x12 slick. is the 1 inch taller tire going to drop the rpm much. I would like it to be around 6,000

Ratio of tire height change.

You had a 28 inch tire. Now you have a 29. The size ratio change is 28/29 = .9655

.9655 * 6500 = 6276 across the line if the speed is the same.

You are also taking some gear out of the car by going bigger. Would not be surprised if your 60' suffers a bit, and therefore your ET. MPH might stay the same.

Coincidence. A convenient and overused word for the mentally lazy.
